Clean, safe drinking water is provided to millions of customers everyday in the United States.
The entire process of protecting water resources, treating the water to the highest standards in the world, designing state of the art treatment and distribution systems, laying the pipes and distributing the water to each home and business requires an entire team of professionals in every community to protect the public health.
And, when the water is used, a whole different group of professionals create the system for collecting wastewater for treatment, designing and building inovative treatment facilities to meet every growing environmental standards, and return the treated water back to the environment.
Every level of these professions are essential, demanding and very rewarding career choices.
Water professionals from all over the country are working together to recruit high school, junior college and university students into these most rewarding professions.
